Calling to the Divine (11/22)
How do you talk to Gods, Ancestors, spiritual allies, or other beings? How might you invite them to your ritual? How do you get out of the “script” of ritual and invoke divine beings in ways that truly move you?
This workshop is a deep dive on invocations, an important tool used in ritual to work with those allies who aid and sponsor the magic you want to bring forth. We will explore invocations not as a command, but as a calling, an invitation, a seduction, a flirtation with the Gods, spirits, plants, and other beings who may want to join us.
In this workshop we will:
Create sacred space through grounding, circle casting & calling to the Elements
Trance to meet our allies in the spiritual realm
Explore what invocations are & why they’re important
Play with writing prompts to try on different ways of calling to the Elements, Gods, or other allies of our choosing
Get creative with sound and movement as channels of power and communication.
This workshop will help you develop a deeper capacity to communicate with the unseen, and a deeper relationship to the living animacy in all things. All are welcome. You do not need to have magical experience or identify as a witch to join!
The Heart of the Ritual (12/12)
So you’ve cast your circle, invoked your allies…and now what? How do you cast the spell? What do you do in ritual to really be moved by the magic you seek? Come to this workshop to develop tools for ecstatic ritual practice! This practice will help get you more comfortable designing your own rituals, stepping out of the script, and listening to the magic that wants to speak through you.
In this workshop we will:
Explore trancework as a tool for enchantment & spellcasting
Craft ritual intentions to guide our magic
Discuss different types of ritual technology and the basics of spellcraft
Work with movement, drumming, and song to practice improvisatory, emergent magic
All are welcome. You do not need to have magical experience or identify as a witch to join!
WorldWide WitchCamp
I am elated to teach at the 4th annual WorldWide WitchCamp! Join me November 13-16th (exact dates depend on your time zone) for round-the-clock ritual and magic!
WorldWide WitchCamp is an online magical intensive, held in the Reclaiming Witchcraft Tradition, that brings together witches from around the globe for rituals, classes, affinity groups, and more! Historically we’ve had over 15 countries represented, upwards of 4 languages spoken at ritual, and 10 different classes (called “Paths”) to choose from. Sliding scale & scholarships are options.
Registration is open NOW! And will close 72 hours before camp begins, somewhere around November 10th depending on your timezone.
Our story this year is Stone Soup, exploring what it looks like to bring together our myriad ingredients and create community together. On that theme, I will be teaching a Path at camp with the wonderful Jane Meredith. Read more below~
Brewing Stone Soup ~ Creating the Witch Community of Your Dreams
Do you long for a coven, a magical circle, a local WitchCamp, or people to celebrate the sabbats with? How do we start with just a stone and a cauldron and call in a community around us to brew the soup of our dreams?
WorldWide WitchCamp is a mystical three days a year between-the-worlds event where we create and experience Reclaiming community across the globe. How could we take some of that home with us? What is your cauldron? What is your ingredient? What are you calling out for?
In this path we will explore our personal needs and desires for magical community. We’ll aim to develop tools and create a map to move forward with our dreams. We’ll dive into the nuts and bolts of consensus, then use consensus in real time to decide what activities and content to explore the following day. For example: somatic embodiment tools, sharing our visions, exploring our sense of belonging, finding allies, working with Iron and Pearl, community Q & A, and moving from inspiration to a plan. On the third day we’ll work magic together and support each other to create plans of action as we get ready to serve the soup!
Let’s build resilience and skills so that we leave this camp inspired, encouraged and empowered to pursue our audacious wishes and bring our stone soup to the world.
Iron Pentacle: the Queer, the Folk & the Fallen Ones (Online)
This is a 6-session virtual Reclaiming core class that will teach you about and create space to immerse yourself in the Iron Pentacle, and especially exploring the Queer in each one of us, the Folk and the Fallen Ones. The Iron Pentacle is made of 5 points, each named with a word that troubles, hunts, and dares the human in us: Sex, Pride, Self, Power, and Passion. Those are the sacred names spoken by the harlots, sacred sex workers, priestesses of ancient temples, and witches throughout history. We hold these words as a compass, as a sword, as an incantation - our spell of self-becoming, of bringing ourselves back to us through the gates of Mystery and Ecstasy.
Iron Pentacle has always been a Queer tool, embracing these words that provoke, that are called “sin” by overculture. In this class, we will explore the queer majesty of reclaiming these words and the power that comes from Otherness.
The Queer has always been a core part of the Folk. We were always there. In the shadows, as pillars of nations, governments, and royalty. In the forests, on the other side of the fence, all genders and no gender, the Witch, the danger, the forbidden ones, the monsters in the shadows. In the cities, our strength, our colors, our beauty, and our ideas change and move the world. Without us, there would be no Folk - we have always been here, and we are not going anywhere. We hold the Folklore in our hands.
We honor the Fallen Ones, those great seraphic winged serpents, mighty currents of power creating and recreating the universe over and over again as we descend from them. When they fell in love with humankind, with our magic and mystery, they loved the red women, the beautiful boys, and the androgynous gender-bender beings. We offered them our sensuous secrets, and they offered us their magic. They offered, amongst many things, the mystery that is the Iron Pentacle.
This class will be focused on queerness, developing and deepening our relationship with the Iron Pentacle itself as a lover, a teacher, a guide, a current of power, and a powerful being. By doing that, we bring ourselves back to us, honoring the ever-living Queer. That said, this class is not exclusive to the LGBTQ+ community and we welcome anyone who wants to explore these themes with us.
In this class, we will work with trance, ecstatic practices, and embodied techniques to dive deep into the Queer with the Iron Pentacle as our beloved and as our compass. Honoring our core existence amongst the Folk and inviting the Fallen Ones to, once more, show us how loved we are in many ways and forms. Learning different ways to engage the work with the Iron Pentacle, we will follow Sex, Pride, Self, Power, and Passion as lands for becoming ourselves, as portals of life force and queerness, as deep wells of magic and incantation. Art, poetry, music, movement, writing, and talking will support us. In the words of Reclaiming Elder Pandora O’Mallory, “Iron Pentacle is the work of a lifetime.”
This class is taught as a core class in the Reclaiming Witchcraft Tradition. Elements of Magic is a prerequisite for taking this class.
