It’s family therapy time at the mental hospital and Sara’s parents desperately want to know why she attempted suicide and how they can help her. Sara tries to explain but is afraid of hurting them with the details. In a culture that seems to collect more prescription labels and diagnoses each day, “Steel Altar” examines how darkness affects relationships and ultimately how healing begins with honesty.
